About the training

Level 2 Award

The Level 2 award is ideal for anyone working or about to start work that involves the handling of food.

This qualification demonstrates learners know food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the handling of food, including:

  • storage
  • preparation
  • cooking and
  • service

Course length: 1 day

Level 3 Award

Level 3 qualifications are designed for learners who wish to progress from Level 2 to higher or supervisory level within a food business.

Topics include:

  • ensuring compliance with food safety legislation
  • the application and monitoring of good hygiene practice
  • how to implement food safety management procedures
  • application and monitoring of good practice regarding contamination, microbiology and temperature control.

Course length: 3 days
