List of Reading Groups

Reading groups are people who meet up to discuss a book or books that they have read and share their opinions, likes and dislikes etc. We have listed below the various reading groups that can be found all over Cornwall.

Bodmin

• Helland Book Group meets monthly on Monday afternoons at 3pm at Blisland PO and shop. Tea/coffee and delicious cakes! £3 per meeting towards refreshments and room hire. Contact: Judith Argent. 07786 558641

• The Millpool Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 2.30pm at Millpool Community Rooms  with tea/ coffee and cake.

Camborne

• A book group meets in the library on the third Monday of each month at 2:30 pm.

Fowey

• A book group meets on the last Friday of the month from 10:30am-11:30am.

• Newquay Book Group meets in the library on the first Friday of the month, 3pm-4pm
• Newquay U3A Book Group meets on the last Friday in the month from 10am

Padstow

• Teazers Readers book group meet in Padstow Library on the first Monday of each month 2.30pm-4pm.

Penzance

• Meet on the second Wednesday in the month from 2:30 pm-4pm.

Redruth

• Redruth Library Bookworms meet on the third Thursday of the month, 2pm-4pm in the library
• Redruth Book Group meet on the third Thursday of the month, 10:30am-noon

St Austell

• Tuesday Group meets on the first Tuesday of the month, 2pm - 3pm, in the library
• Wednesday Group meets on the last Wednesday in the month, 2pm - 3pm, in the library.
• Thursday Group meets on the third Thursday of the month, 2pm - 3pm, in the library

St Columb

• Time Out Readers Group meets second Tuesday of the month at 1.30pm-3.30pm
• The Novelties Readers Group usually meet last Thursday of the month at 1pm-2pm

St Ives

• Coffee and Crime Book Club meets every second Monday of the month, 11:15am-12:15pm in the library.
• Dead Choughed meets in the library on the third Monday of the month at 11:15pm-12:15pm.
• U3A Readers' Book Group meets on fourth Monday at 11:15am-12:30pm. We are a lively group currently numbering 12 but happy to welcome more members. We have diverse tastes and each member gets a chance to suggest our next 'read'.

• St Just Reading Groups meet in the library on the first Thursday in the month at 7:30pm and last Monday in the month at 11am in the library (on a library closed day).  Contact the library for further details.

Torpoint

• Torpoint Library Book Group (Torpoint Chapter) meets at 11am on the first Monday of the month. Contact Torpoint Library for further details.

Truro

• A book group meet at Truro Library on the first Thursday of the month, 2pm-4pm. All welcome. Come and enjoy an informal exchange of views with other readers. Tea and coffee available. For more information, speak to Angela at Truro Community Library.
