Truro Library


Truro Library is managed by Truro City Council, supported by Cornwall Council.

 

Truro Community Library is located on the ground floor of the building.

We have 8 public computers available as well as printing and photocopying services.

Printing and photocopying are charged as follows:

  • 10p per side for black and white A4
  • 20p per side for black and white A3
  • 50p per side for colour A4
  • £1 per side for colour A3

The computers close 10 minutes before the main library.

Library members 1hr free per day, non-members ½ hr free per day

The Community Garden is open during library hours. Meetings rooms are also available to hire.

There are three community rooms with a refreshment and kitchen area. These are available for hire to organisations, businesses and community groups.

  • Nearest bus stop- River Street, outside of the museum or Boscawen Street (both about a 5 minute walk)
  • Nearest train station- Truro Station (about a 15 minute walk)

Council payments and services

  • National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online.  
  • Recycling bags and boxes can be ordered online. Please use the request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form.
  • Council Payments. Payments for Council services cannot be taken at this location. This includes Council Tax or Business Rates. However there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments. Most Post Offices still accept cheques at no extra cost.  Your account will be updated overnight. Many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours, often including weekends.
