Everyone is welcome! You don’t have to be a member of the library to come in and use the space and facilities. It's quick, easy and free to join the library to access all that we have to offer.

Events

  • Knit and Natter: Tuesday 2 - 4 pm

    Friendly and sociable get together for any of your knitting, crochet or sewing projects. Bring your materials and enjoy making alongside others.

  • Lego club: every Thursday 3 - 10 pm

    Lego and Duplo bricks for lots of making fun!

  • Rhyme Time: every Thursday 11 am - 12 noon

    Songs, rhymes and musical instruments for under 5’s. No minimum age for babies. A fun and friendly group with lots of action songs, with fruit snacks and time to chat afterwards.

  • Friends of St Just Library organise monthly evening events. Please see the Friends of St Just Library Facebook group for details.

  • We also have a variety of drop-in sessions from other Cornwall services.

  • Four public computers available for one hour sessions, free of charge.  Visitors are able to use these computers using a temporary card.

  • Free WiFi available

  • Scanning, printing and photocopying available:

    • A4 black and white 10p per side

    • A4 colour 50p per side

    • A3 black and white 20p per side

    • A3 colour £1 per side

  • Communal jigsaw

  • Book sale: donations

  • DVD hire: free of charge

  • Jigsaw puzzle lending: free of charge

  • Daily papers: The Cornishman and Western Morning News

  • Loanable blood pressure monitors

Council payments and services

  • National Concessionary bus pass applications are quick and easy to apply for online.  
  • Recycling bags and boxes can be ordered online. Please use the request recycling equipment / recycling containment online form.
  • Council Payments. Payments for Council services cannot be taken at this location. This includes Council Tax or Business Rates. However there are a range of PayPoint and Post Office sites that accept both cash and card payments. Most Post Offices still accept cheques at no extra cost.  Your account will be updated overnight. Many PayPoint stores have longer opening hours, often including weekends.
