Nutrient neutrality and planning applications

Area affected in Cornwall Natural England has reviewed the condition of the River Camel and South West Water's plans for wastewater treatment. This shows there is no longer a need to mitigate phosphate pollution in certain areas. In February 2026, Natural England updated the nutrient neutrality rules for the River Camel.
