Every funeral service is individual. There are no set rules that must be followed. At Penmount the staff will help assist in making sure that the service you hold is appropriate and fulfils your wishes.
There are many ways you can make your service special including personalising the music, adding pictures or sharing videos. Your funeral director will assist with all of these things. We will work with them to ensure things go smoothly. We have seen it all from:
- samba bands and Morris dancers leading the hearse
- coffins arriving in VW Camper Vans and on the back of large cranes to
- Scottish pipers and military honour guards
Music
Many families choose music to personalise the service. Both chapels have a state-of-the-art Obitus Music System with access to over 3,000 tracks, including hymns and organ music.
We also provide traditional organ services. Both chapels have electronic organs, and you can pre-book an organist to accompany hymns or other music.
Live stream the funeral
Sometimes, people cannot attend a funeral in person. We can help.
Using specialist webcasting technology, we can live stream the funeral service and keep it online for up to 28 days. This lets family and friends pay their respects digitally and watch the recording later.

Tributes
Another way to personalise the funeral is to add photos and music. This could be a single photo, a slideshow of multiple images or photos timed perfectly with your choice of music. There are a number of options to chose from.
