Statutory appointment
A legal appointment to register your marriage or civil partnership.
This is for couples who want to complete the legal process only, with no ceremony.
You will only say the legal words and sign the marriage schedule.
The appointment takes place in a working registration office.
You must bring two witnesses. No other guests can attend.
Statutory appointments are limited and are not available in every office. They take place on set dates and at set times. We release new appointments throughout the year.

You must attend a Notice of Marriage or Civil Partnership appointment at least 29 days before your statutory marriage appointment.

Held in a working office without a ceremony: Monday to Wednesday £62.00

The fee is taken at the time of booking. It is refundable if the event is cancelled.
