Celebrating Choice and Personalisation
The Government has launched a consultation on proposals to reform wedding law in England and Wales. It explores how weddings could become more flexible and inclusive in the future.
At present, these are only proposals. Current wedding laws remain unchanged, and there is no confirmed date for any reforms.
Many of the themes in the consultation are already at the heart of what we do. This includes creating meaningful ceremonies and giving couples the opportunity to reflect their individuality. My Cornwall Wedding conducts ceremonies in a diverse range of approved venues. We work with couples to create celebrations that are unique to them.
The consultation is open to everyone until 24th September 2026. We encourage anyone with an interest in weddings and ceremonies to share their views.
