Disabled parking

Due to reduced staffing numbers we are unfortunately unable to respond within normal response times due to the unprecedented amount of enquires we are receiving. We are aware of how concerned everyone is in these difficult times and we are responding as quickly as possible. 

The national Blue Badge scheme helps you park closer to your destination if you’re disabled. 

The scheme does not apply in car parks.  But we do have special arrangements for those parking with a Blue Badge in our Council car parks.

Parking with a blue badge in a Cornwall Council car park

This scheme allows those who have a Blue Badge to park for free in our Pay and Display, and Pay on Exit car parks for a year. To be eligible for the scheme you must have a vehicle registered for NIL/Disabled tax. 


Rules for parking for disabled drivers

On street parking restrictions are relaxed for blue badge holders.  This is to make parking easier for those who are less mobile. Find out what you can and can’t do.
