Private hire vehicle licence
To license aprivate hire vehicle, two licences are required.
Each vehicle must have a private hire vehicle licence which you can apply for below
and every driver of those licensed vehicles must have a private hire driver licence
In addition, all self employed and employer private hire businesses must hold aprivate hire operator licence.

Japanese knotweed
Japanese knotweed (scientific name Fallopia japonica) is sometimes known locally as 'donkey rhubarb'. It first came to the UK in the mid 19th century as a garden plant. Since then it has become a serious problem. Particularly on roadsides, riverbanks and derelict land. It prevents our native plants from growing and causes structural damage. In the photo on the right you can see knotweed growing through concrete blocks.

Be a safer pedestrian
Over 30,000 children have been killed or seriously injured in the last 10 years on Britain's roads (AXA RoadSafe report). In Cornwall, we have found that more often than not it is the fault of the pedestrian.

£10,000 penalty for man who repeatedly allowed his dogs to stray
A St Austell man has been ordered to pay £10,000 in fines and costs after allowing his dogs to stray and cause nuisance in his community on multiple occasions.
A hearing at Bodmin Magistrates Court on December 17 was told that Ross Stone, of Coopeage Farm, Trewoon, St Austell, had a number of dogs that he repeatedly allowed to stray from his premises.
