Changes to penalty notices for unauthorised absence from school from 19 August 2024

A new National Framework for Penalty Notices for school absence was introduced by the Government on 19 August 2024. This includes unauthorised holiday absence. The changes will affect when penalty notices are issued in Cornwall. Summary of the changes There is a new national threshold for when a penalty notice must be considered.
