Every child and young person must have high quality teaching and support in their educational setting.
Most children and young people with Special Educational Needs and / or Disabilities (SEND):
have their needs met in schools and settings, and
will not need an Education Health and Care Plan
This process is the Graduated Response. Your child / young person’s SENCO may also refer to it as ‘SEN Support’.

CCTV in public spaces
The purpose of town centre CCTV is to deter and detect crime. This creates a safer environment for the whole community. Around 30% of the incidents we monitor involve vulnerable or ill individuals in need of medical assistance or other help.

Trewoon speed cameras go live following community call for slower speeds
Average speed cameras are now in place along a busy section of the A3058 in Trewoon in response to safety concerns from the local community.
As a key transport route to and from St Austell, the road carries a large volume of traffic including HGVs. With the road effectively cutting the village in two, St Mewan Parish Council, local Cornwall Council Michael Bunney and the community speedwatch group highlighted concerns.
