Helping residents access Cornwall Council services

As part of our Customer Philosophy, Cornwall Council is exploring how residents access information, advice and support for Council services.

We know that reception teams, Town and Parish Councils, partner organisations, and community and voluntary groups already play an important role in helping residents find the support they need. Thank you for the valuable work you do every day to support our communities.

To make this even easier, we've introduced our Council Chatbot.

This simple tool can be used alongside your existing ways of working to help you quickly find the right information, contact details and online forms for a resident's enquiry.

How to Use the Chatbot

  1. Select the "Let's chat!" button.

  2. Type your question into the chat box.

To get the best results, try to:

  • Ask your question naturally, as you would when speaking to a colleague or searching online.

  • Be as specific as possible. For example, type "How do I apply for a Blue Badge?" rather than just "Blue Badge".

The chatbot will search Cornwall Council's website and provide:

  • relevant information

  • links to forms and online services

  • contact details

  • information on how to report an issue or make a request

This can help you find the most up-to-date information quickly and easily, so you can continue supporting residents with confidence.

Useful friendly urls

We have short urls which you can share for easy access to find information, report problems or apply for things.

Help us improve

We're committed to making the chatbot as useful as possible.

If you have any feedback, suggestions or ideas for improvement, we'd love to hear from you. Your insights will help us develop the tool so that it better supports your work and the residents you help.

Thank you for your continued support.
