Launceston Southern Growth Area Concept Plan

Launceston Town Council and Cornwall Council are preparing a concept plan that focuses on an area south of Launceston.  It takes a proactive approach to how it believes development in this area should come forward.

The development of this concept plan has involved Town Councillors, landowners, residents and Cornwall Council and has been amended to reflect feedback received during a public consultation in September and October 2019.

A second 6-week public consultation closed on 10 August 2020. Feedback from the consultation will be added to this page once it has been reviewed. The concept plan will then be finalised, taking into consideration comments raised in the latest consultation.

A Story Map has been prepared which contains photos and illustrations, and highlights the main points of the Summary document.

The Story Map and Summary document are the main consultation documents which should be referred to (the Technical Document is more detailed and contains further maps).

Launceston Southern Growth Area Concept Plan: Technical document.  This is a large document so has been split into sections. The sections contain plans and diagrams and may take some time to open.

Once the document has been finalised, Launceston Town Council and Cornwall Council will adopt the plan. It will be used to inform and assist the determining of any planning applications within the concept plan area.
