Quiet Lanes’ trial to replace Truro rat runs with walking and cycling network

A trial begins tomorrow to restrict traffic using narrow rural roads between Shortlanesend and Threemilestone as a short cut to Truro. The Quiet Lanes trial aims to make a 15km network of roads safer for people wanting to walk and cycle in the area by banning through traffic. Government funding confirmed for vital St Austell to A30 Link Road

The Department for Transport has confirmed funding of over £78 million for a new road, with green credentials, to link St Austell to the A30.   The 3.9-mile single carriageway road, with new junctions to provide local access, will link the A391 at Carluddon with the A30 at Victoria, supporting employment, housing, and regeneration in the area. Micro-chipping and dog ID tags

A Microchip is a legal requirement Since 2016 it has been law that all dogs from 8 weeks of age must be microchipped.
