Council invests an additional £9.1 million to deliver improvements to Cornwall’s road network
Cornwall Council has announced an additional £9.1 million of capital investment into maintaining and repairing Cornwall’s roads.
The council already invests around £40 million a year in maintaining and improving the 7,250 kilometres (4,530 miles) road network, which ranges from busy A roads to narrow rural roads.
This £9.1 million of capital funding means that an additional 78km of roads will be programmed in for resur.....

Clothing brand Finisterre crowned overall winner at 20th Cornwall Sustainability Awards
A Cornish outdoor clothing brand that puts sustainable practices at the heart of its business has been crowned the overall winner of the 20th Cornwall Sustainability Awards.
St Agnes-based Finisterre won the Overall Winner and Circular Economy categories in the awards ceremony held at Truro Cathedral last week.

The Cornwall We Want
In March last year people across the whole country experienced a massive change to their way of life.
Our June resident’s survey showed us that this had triggered an appetite for change. Although there were some very negative side effects of the pandemic, the more positive changes made people realise that life could be different. Only 1 in ten people wanted every thing to go back to the way it was before the pandemic.
