Gardens of remembrance
We have 11 acres of grounds that have been developed as formal Gardens of Remembrance.
Books of Remembrance Update
Due to Covid restrictions, the Book of Remembrance Room is currently closed.
It has not been possible to re-open it due to ongoing restrictions and the confined nature of this room. We have made alternative arrangements so that the books can be viewed again. They are now displayed in the three bay windows at the front of the main building, including the Baby Book of Remembrance.
Columbarium and Memorial Hall
We have removed the Flower Room to ensure access to the Columbarium is still possible when visiting Niches.
This provides us with enough space to adhere to social distancing guidance. It also allows space for our hand sanitising facilities.
Memorial plaques were previously displayed in the Book of Remembrance room. However, we have relocated the plaques to the inner walls of this facility so they can be viewed.
Cut flowers can be displayed on the Kernow Flower Terrace, which is a short distance from the Columbarium. Cut flowers may not be displayed in vases.
You can place flowers in an area of your choice within the Gardens of Remembrance.
We have made these changes in response to restrictions imposed by Covid.
We appreciate the current facilities are not ideal. We hope you will appreciate that these changes ensure that provisions are the best they can be during this difficult time.

Please note that due to ongoing covid restrictions, there will be no refreshments or guided tours following the service this year.
Our Carol Evening is usually held on the second Thursday evening in December in the Trelawny Chapel at Penmount Crematorium. After much consideration due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, it is with regret that we will not be holding our Carol Evening this year.
We hope that by 2022 we will be able to welcome you all to Penmount once again for the Service of Remembrance and the Carol Service.
