Our ambition is for Cornwall to be the leading rural creative economy. We work in collaboration to support and grow the creative and cultural sector. We aim to improve the economic, social and cultural well-being of all communities across Cornwall. We are part of the Council’s Economic Growth Service.
Our role is to support and advocate our distinct Cornish creative and cultural sectors. Our current portfolio of investments includes various cultural and creative projects across Cornwall.
This year we have developed our Creative Manifesto. This is a new strategy for Cornwall Council that outlines and explains our priorities and plans for the next five years.
Our team encompasses:
- The Culture and Creative Industries Partnerships Team
- Kresen Kernow - Cornwall Archives and Cornish Studies Service
- The Cornish Mining World Heritage Site Office
- The Cornish Language Office
We also invest in museums all across Cornwall and work closely with Cornwall Museums Partnership. We also have connections with:
These sit within different services areas within the Council.
