Bus Service Disruptions
Road Closure – Coliza Hill, Sticker
12 September to 7 October 2022
Due to roadworks Coliza Hill slip road will be closed between the 12 September and the 7 October. This will affect all services operating out of St Austell into Sticker.
During the closure period services will run as follows:
First Service 27 and the Go-Cornwall Service 27, operating in the evening and on Sundays, from St Austell will operate along the A390 to Hewas Water, then via Sticker to the top of Coliza Hill where the bus will turn and resume its normal route through Sticker. Due to the diversion this will impact on the timetable and delays are expected to these services. From Truro the normal route will operate.
Travel Cornwall Service 23 will operate via London Apprentice to Polgooth and will not serve St Mewan.

Road Closure – Tredrea Lane and Treloweth Lane, St Erth
12 to 23 September 2022
Due to roadworks there will be closures on Tredrea Lane and Treloweth Lane between the 12 and 23 September. During the closure period Go-Cornwall Service 515 from Penzance will operate along Gwallon Lane and Rospeath Lane to Crowlas Crossroads, then via the A30 to St Erth Station, then via the A30 and B3301 to Chennalls Road, St Erth where it will turn and follow its usual route into Hayle. From Hayle the reverse will operate.
Road Closure – Par Lane, Par
12 September to 24 December 2022
Due to the installation of a new water culvert Par Green between its junction with Moorland Road and the rail crossing will be closed between the 12 September and 24 December. During the closure period First Service 24 and the Go-Cornwall Service 24 evening service in both directions will do a loop around Par Green and operate via St Andrews Road and will be unable to serve stops on Harbour Road and St Blazey Road.
Road Closure – Wheal Rose
12 September to 7 October 2022
Due to roadworks there will be a closure at Wheal Rose between Foxcote and the A3047 between 12 September and the 7 October. During the closure period Hopleys Service 315 will divert via Skinners Bottom and will not serve stops at Wheal Rose. School and college contracts will also divert please confirm details with the operator.
Road Closure – Crooklets Road, Bude
19 to 23 September 2022
Due to roadworks Crooklets Road will be closed between the 19 and 23 September. During the closure Go-Cornwall Service 128 will be unable to serve Crooklets Road diverting via Golf House Road, Downs View and turning at Crooklets Car Park.
Overnight Road Closure – A3078 Reskivers, Tregony
20 to 22 September 2022
Due to resurfacing works the A3078 at Reskivers will be closed overnight from 1900. Cormac have advised that the 1903 Service 50 from St Mawes will be allowed through the works and will operate as normal.
Road Closure – West Street, Penryn
20 to 21 September 2022
Due to roadworks West Street will be closed between 0930 and 1530 on the 20 and 21 September. This will affect journeys on First Services U1, U2 and U4, as well as Transport for Cornwall Services 42 and 69/69A operated by OTS, using this road into Penryn Town Centre towards Falmouth.
During the closure services towards Falmouth will divert via Browns Hill and Commercial Road to Penryn Bridge and will not serve stops on West Street, Lower Market Street or Quay Hill. Services from the Falmouth direction into Penryn Town Centre won’t be affected and will operate as normal.
Road Closure – Lower Lemon Street, Truro
20 September to 7 October 2022
Due to roadworks Lower Lemon Street will be closed between the 20 September and the 7 October. During the closure Travel Cornwall Services will continue to use the Lemon Quay bus stop as normal with services towards Victoria Square diverting via City Road and Calenick Street.
Road Closure – Harlyn Bay Road
20 to 27 September 2022
Due to South West Water works there will be a closure on Harlyn Bay Road between the 20 and the 27 September. During the closure hours the First Atlantic Coaster Service and Go-Cornwall Service 56 will be unable to serve Harlyn Bay.
Overnight Road Closure – Cooksland Road, Bodmin
20, 21, 22, 23 and 26 September 2022
Due to resurfacing works Cooksland Road will be closed overnight from 1900 on the 20, 21, 22, 23 and 26 September. During the closure period Go-Cornwall Service 11 will divert via Priory Road and Launceston Road and will not serve stops on Cooksland Road.
Road Closure – Fore Street, Barripper
23 September 2022
Due to roadworks Fore Street in Barripper will be closed between 0930 and 1430 on the 23 September. During the closure Go-Cornwall Service 39/39A towards Camborne will divert at Carnhell Green via Station Road, Gwinear Road and Roseworthy to Camborne. From Camborne the reverse will operate. During the closure period the service will not serve stops at Barripper and on Barripper Road.
Overnight Road Closure – B3275 Denas Water to Truck, Probus
23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 September 2022
Due to resurfacing works there will be an overnight closure from 1900 on the road between Denas Water and Truck. During the closure period the Go-Cornwall Service 27 towards Truro will turn at the stop at Probus Square and then operate via the Probus Bypass. From Truro the reverse will operate. During the closure stops on Probus Fore Street, Truck and Denas Water won’t be served.
Road Closure – Wesley Road, Cubert
26 to 30 September 2022
Due to South West Water works there will be a closure on Wesley Road between Cubert and Crantock between the 26 and 30 September. This will affect Go-Cornwall Service 85 and First Services U1A, S1, 850 and school contract buses. During the closure period journeys between Crantock and Cubert will divert via the A3075. Due to the diversion delays are to be expected to services and there will be timing adjustments to Service 85. For further information please refer to your operator.
Road Closure – Hillhead to Stepaside, St Stephen
26 to 30 September 2022
Doe to roadworks there will be a closure at Stepaside. During the closure Go-Cornwall Service 22 towards St Austell will divert via Goonabarn to Nanpean then via Rostowrack Downs to Treviscoe where it will resume its normal route. From St Austell the reverse will operate. During the closure period stops at Stepaside and Litle Treviscoe won’t be served.
Road Closure – B3314 Slaughterbridge, Camelford
26 to 28 September 2022
Due to roadworks the B3314 at Slaughterbridge will be closed from 26 to the 28 September between the hours of 0730 and 1700. During the closure period the Go-Cornwall Service 95 will in both directions divert via the B3266 and will be unable to serve stops on Clease Road and in the centre of Camelford at the Post Office and Church. Passengers for Camelford are advised to wait for the bus at the junction of the B3266 and Clease Road.
Rail Service Disruptions
Network Rail Maintenance
From May, train timetables will only be available for 6 weeks instead of the usual 12 weeks. This is expected to be the case for 6 months due to planned engineering projects across the country.
