Bus service disruptions
Road Closure – Wheal Rose
From 21 March 2024 Ongoing
Due to road works the road at Wheal Rose is currently closed. During the closure Hopleys service 315 is operating under diversion via Blackwater and not serving stops at Wheal Rose. Passengers from Wheal Rose will need to catch the bus near the Crossroads Care Home.
Road Closure – Penmarth to Carnkie
27 June to 8 November 2024
Due to utility works the road between Penmarth and Carnkie will be closed between the 27 June and the 8 November. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 36 to Helston School will operate under diversion via the main road and will be unable to serve Penmarth. Students are advised to catch the bus at the Gravel Pits or Crellow Lane.
Road Closure – Avers Interchange, Redruth
9 September to 13 November 2024
Avers Roundabout will be closed between the 9 September and the 13 November. During the closure Go-Cornwall services 48 and 49 will divert via Bassett Road and the A3047 in both directions and will not serve the stops at North Country Garage and Corner Cottage.
Road Closure – Portloe
16 September to 22 November 2024
Due to roadworks there will be a closure in the centre of Portloe between the 16 September and the 22 November. During the closure period Travel Cornwall service 51 will be unable to serve Portloe and will turn the bus at Treviskey and Broom Parc Turning.
Road Closure – Rame Cross
28 September to 24 October 2024
The road between Little Trewince and Rame Cross will be closed between the 28 September and the 24 October. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 36 on Sundays will be unable to serve this section of road, diverting towards Truro via Stithians Road and towards Helston via Falmouth Road. OTS service 42 will also operate under diversion via Crane Garage in both directions.
Road Closure – A392 Trevemper, Newquay
30 September 2024 to 31 January 2025
The A392 Trevemper Road between the junction with the Treloggan Roundabout and the and the junction with the A3075 will be closed between the 30 September 2024 and the 31 January 2025. During the closure period First Buses service U1/U1A/U1E will in both directions divert via Trevemper Road and Trenance Boating Lake and will not serve stops on Treloggan Road and Trennick Hill.
Overnight Road Closure – A390 Langarth near Threemilestone
1 October to 1 November 2024
Due to surfacing works there will be a series of weekday overnight road closures from 1900 on the A390 near Langarth between the 1 October and the 1 November. During the closure periods First Buses service U1/U1A/U1E will operate under diversion via Greenbottom and Penstraze between Threemilestone and Chiverton.
Road Closure – Chapel Street, West End, Penryn Street, Redruth
7 October to 11 November 2024
There will be closures on roads in the centre of Redruth between the 7 October and the 11 November.
During the closure period there will be significant diversions for bus services in Redruth. For full details please refer to the operator’s service updates on their web sites.
Road Closure – Killerton Road, Bude
7 to 18 October 2024
Killerton Road will be closed between the 7 and 18 October. During the closure period Go-Crnwall services 128 and 219 will in both directions divert via Bencoolen Road and Valley Road to Holnicote Road.
Road Closure – A390 Lostwithiel to East Taphouse
7 to 26 October 2024
Due to surfacing works there will be closures on the A390 between West Taphouse and Lostwithiel. The Travel Cornwall 1900 departure from Looe will be allowed through the closure and operate its normal route.
Road Closure B3362, Lawhitton
13 to 22 October 2024
The B3362 will be closed between the 13 and 22 October. This will affect Stagecoach service 85 and Tavistock Community Transport service 114 and 117. Only limited access will be available please contact the operator for details.
Road Closure – Foundry Road, Camborne
14 to 15 October 2024
Foundry Road will be closed on the 14 and 15 October. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 49/49A will be unable to serve Trevu Road, Meneth Road and Lower Pengegon. Buses will divert via Kerrier Way, Wesley Street and B3301 to Union Street.
Road Closure – Brill, Constantine
15 October 2024
The road near Napheane Farm will be closed between 0830 and 1630 on the 15 October. During the closure period OTS service 35/35A will operate under diversion via Boswidjack Farm between Constantine and Gweek. For full information please contact operator.
Road Closure – Brea, Camborne
16 to 21 October 2024
There will be a closure on Post Box Row, Brea between the 16 and 21 October. During the closure period OTS service 42 will be unable to serve Brea.
Road Closure – Grampound Road
17 and 18 October 2024
There will be a road closure in Grampound Road between 0950 and 1430 on the 17 and 18 October. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 22 will operate under diversion via Ladock and Brighton Cross and will not serve Grampound Road and Probus.
Road Closure – Antron Hill, Mabe Burnthouse
21 to 25 October 2024
Antron Hill west of the Treliever Road junction will be closed between 0930 and 1530 from the 21 to the 25 October. During the closure period OTS service will operate under diversion via lower Antron Hill and still serve stops on Treliever Road.
Road Closure – Prospect Place, School Hill, Mevagissey
21 to 22 October 2024
There will be a closure on School Hill between 0730 and 1700 between the 21 and 22 October. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 23 will turn at Trevalsa Court before heading to Trevarth.
Road Closure – Blackwater
21 October to 8 November 2024
Due to resurfacing works there will be weekday closures in Blackwater between 0730 and 1700 from the 21 October to the 8 November. During the closure period buses will divert as follows:
Go-Cornwall service 88: During the closure will be unable to serve Blackwater diverting via the A30 in both directions between Scorrier and Chiverton Interchange.
Hopleys service 304: Will between the 21 and 25 October divert from North Hill via Dales Car Garage in Scorrier and A30 to Chiverton in both directions.
School and college services will have access through the closure and operate their normal routes.
Road Closure – B3247 Crafthole
24 October to 1 November 2024
The closure will be in place between 0730 and 1800 on weekdays only between the 24 October and the 1 November. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 70B will operate under diversion via Antony and Tregantle via Antony Hill in both directions and will not serve Crafthole and Sheviock. Passengers from Crafthole and Sheviock will need to use Go-Cornwall service 75.
Road Closure – Polurrian Road, Mullion
25 October 2024
There will be a closure on Polurrian Road between 0830 and 1530 on the 25 October. During the closure period Go-Cornwall service 34 will be unable to serve Laflouder Fields. Buses will divert via Lender Lane, Churchtown and B3296 then turning at Mullion Cricket Club in both directions.
Rail Service Disruptions
Network Rail Maintenance
From May, train timetables will only be available for 6 weeks instead of the usual 12 weeks. This is expected to be the case for 6 months due to planned engineering projects across the country.
