On May 6 elections are taking place for Cornwall Council, local town and parish councils and the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner. The council is recruiting poll clerks, who help run polling stations, and count staff, who count up all the ballots. Poll clerks earn £175 for the day and count staff are paid £10 .....

Council Tax 2021

The Budget and Council Tax for the 2021/2022 financial year was set on 23 February 2021. This covers the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022. How much is Council Tax going up? There is an overall increase in Council Tax of 4.99%. This includes 3% resulting from powers granted by the Government to set an Adult Social Care Precept.
