Manipulative rogue trader ordered to pay more than £6,000 in compensation and costs
A rogue trader who misled customers has been ordered to pay more than £6,000 in compensation and court costs, following a successful prosecution by Cornwall Council’s Trading Standards team.
On Wednesday, July 23, Danny Alan Hughes, who traded as Southwest Tree Care, appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court having previously pleaded guilty to three Unfair Trading offences and one offence of Fraud.

Free bus travel scheme for young people leaving care officially launches
Young people leaving care are now able to travel for free on Cornwall’s buses to give them better access to work, training or study and getting to appointments, as well help improve mental health and reduce isolation.
