Help us make our roads safer for each other
Reducing deaths and injuries on our roads is a shared responsibility.
- It’s not just motorcyclists who need to slow down. It’s not just car drivers needing to check twice before pulling out of a junction.
- It’s not just pedestrians needing to check before they cross a road. It’s not just the tired driver trying to get home.
- It’s not just the young driver showing off to his mate, or the tractor that’s holding up the traffic.
Its for all of us!
Don’t assume you know the road.
Even if you drive it often, you never know what’s around the next corner.
Too many people have lost their lives, families have lost loved ones, and others have been left with life changing injuries. We all need to work together in our communities to change the way we use our roads to help make them safer for everyone.
To help spread key road safety messages, and get to the grassroots of our communities, Cornwall Council has worked with communities to create a road safety toolkit.
In response to concerns, this early, pilot version of the toolkit has been targeted towards the A388. A countywide version of the toolkit that all Cornish communities can use will follow this pilot.
You can download resources from the toolkit, such as pictures and suggested text, to share in your social media chat groups with friends and family, where you work, in your community groups or anywhere you think people will see the messages.
