We are responsible for cleaning many beaches across Cornwall. We only clean beaches that we own or that are privately leased through the Council.
We prioritise the beaches depending on their location, usage and time of year.
They are cleaned by the contractor, Biffa Municipal Ltd. We set the standards they are cleaned to. These standards use Cleanliness National Indicators by Defra.
Please see this list of Cornwall Council cleansed beaches and their cleansing priorities.
