We are aware that there is an issue in some areas of West Cornwall with old bins being abandoned in the community. If you want to report an abandoned bin to us, please use our Contact Us Form to provide information on the number of bins and their location, including a street name and a nearby house number or landmark.
If you've been using your own bin or protective sack to put your rubbish out in for collection on the current service, you won't be able to use it once the new service starts.
This is because we'll only collect waste put out in the new food waste collection caddy, wheelie bin or protective sack we give you to use with the new service.
Please reuse your old bin or sack if you can
Consider reusing your old bin as;
- a garden water butt
- a compost bin
- a place to store firewood
- or for rinsing out wet suits
The deadline has now passed for people in Mid Cornwall, South East Cornwall, West Cornwall, North East Cornwall and Mid West Cornwall to sign up for us to collect and recycle their old bin.
If you've signed up for this service, we'll send you a reminder at the start of the week we collect your bin, so you know when to leave it out for us.
