Cornwall Council adopted the Norton Barton Artisan Food Village LDO in July 2016. This followed a public and stakeholder consultation.
The order allows the site to develop for business within the agri-food sector by:
- extending and adapting buildings
- creating a visitor centre and accommodation (linked to agri-food use)
- replacement dwelling
These permitted rights are subject to a range of controls and limits. Technical assessments have informed the extent of business development at the site.
