Our work

We want Cornwall to be a fair and inclusive place where everyone feels welcome and that they belong.

As a council, it is important that we lead by example and promote our values of Fairness, Ambition, Inclusion and Respect through our work with our community partnerships and networks.

We know that many of our residents face barriers because of race, nationality, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and disability.

We must acknowledge, understand, and measure the impact of these direct and indirect barriers our residents face. We can then act and start to address them.

We want to ensure that we have the data we need, and that we work equitably with staff, customers and service users, residents, and partners.

Tackling inequality will be part of our everyday business. We will strive to respond to the main barriers experienced by those living and working in Cornwall.

For more information on the work we do, including work to support the Cornish National Minority, please see related content.

We will be adding further content soon.
