It will be visible to service users for them to have an understanding of the services you offer. We do this in line with the Childcare Act 2006. This requires Local Authorities to establish and maintain services providing information, advice and assistance on childcare and other services and facilities that may be of benefit to:
- parents
- prospective parents
- carer
- children or young people

The information you provide will be visible to the public through the Family Information Service Directory.
How long we will keep this information for
This information will be held in a secure environment in accordance with Cornwall Council retention policy. After which time it will be destroyed in a secure manner.

What are my data rights
Your personal information belongs to you and you have the right to:
- be informed of how we will process it
- request a copy of what we hold about you and in commonly used electronic format if you wish. If you provided this to us electronically for automated processing, we will return it in the same way.

- have it deleted (where we do not have a legal requirement to retain it)
- withdraw your consent if you no longer wish us to process
- restrict how we process it

How we make the decision
Your details will be entered into our system. They will then be reviewed by our team to determine whether your information meets the criteria to be listed on the Family Information service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account. Or access to any part of the website at any time if you breach the terms or for technical reasons.
- All content submitted by you is accurate, true and up to date. If your content contains opinions, these are your own and genuinely and truly held by you;
- All content submitted by you may be used on this website in any way required. Content may be rejected, edited, moderated, removed or deleted at our absolute discretion
- All content is original to you and you are fully entitled (and have all necessary consents) to submit the content. You must also have the consent of anyone featured in the content to provide this to us. You are also happy for this to be used as set out in the terms;
- Nothing in the content will:
- infringe the copyright or any other right of any person,
- breach any contract or duty of confidence
- be defamatory, obscene, offensive, indecent, harassing or threatening,
- breach anyone’s privacy or may constitute a contempt of court or be calculated to bring any person into disrepute;
- This information will be held in a secure environment in accordance with Cornwall Council retention policy. After which time it will be destroyed in a secure manner.
