Our crews
Launceston has an on-call fire station, staffed by on-call firefighters.
The station covers the largest ground of any Cornish fire station. This is because the station is close to the border between Cornwall and Devon.
The station also acts as first attendance to a large part of North and West Devon.
Staff training night for on-call firefighters is Wednesday 7pm to 9.30pm

We welcome applications from anyone interested in becoming an on-call firefighter.
All shortlisted applicants will be:
- invited to an assessment interview (regardless of whether there is a vacancy at the station or not).
- If successful they will be placed in the talent pool to be selected for progression to the 'Approved to Ride Course'. This will be as and when an appropriate vacancy at their fire station arises.
