Link your council tax and other services


Due to essential maintenance Council tax and benefit forms will be unavailable from 10am - 4pm on Sun 28 April. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. 

As soon as you have set up your online account you can link your council tax.

Linking your council tax account will give you access to:

  • Your account details
  • Balance and payments
  • Make payments
  • Set up a or amend a direct debit
  • View and print your bill
  • Go paperless to receive your bills by email (ebilling)

What you can't view

Where an account holds two or more liable people with different correspondence addresses you will not be able to view correspondence. You will still be able to view the summary details of the account.

Link your council tax and other services

  • Your nine digit council tax account number, that start with a 3 (it’s on the front of your council tax bill)
  • Your title, first name and last name as written on your bill
  1. Sign into your online account
  2. Click My Services
  3. Add your council tax account number
  4. Click Access now
  5. Verify your name and postcode
  6. You now have the option to go paperless and receive your bill by email
  7. Enter your email address
  8. Click Sign up

Once you have submitted the form, we will send you a verification email with a link to view your council tax details.

I don't have a council tax account number

You can still set up an account, but you will need your council tax account number to link and view your council tax details.

When you link your council tax account, you can also choose to receive your bills by email

Sign up for ebilling

You can choose to sign up straight away or later if you change your mind.

Adding another service to your account

If you want to add another council tax account or another service like Housing Benefits, Business Rates or Landlord services:

  1. Click My Services
  2. Click Add Service
  3. Choose the service you would like to sign up to

If you want to add your benefits account you will need your benefits entitlement letter (if applicable), council tax bill and national insurance number to hand.

If you want to add your business rates account you will need your business rates account number, which is on the front of your bill.

Removing an account

Sign into your online account

  1. Click My Services
  2. Click Remove Account

If you’ve removed an account in error, you just need to click on Add Account and re enter your account number to set it up again.

If you remove an account and also no longer want to receive your bills by email you must remember to amend your ebilling subscription.
