Our vision and aims

Digital Futures will provide a shared space for all things digital and tech in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Dynamic collaboration is at the heart of the project.

The project has many approaches to tackling the challenges.

Key aims include:

  • Addressing the local digital skills gap
  • Supporting economic growth
  • Creating opportunities for individuals and organisations in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly

Working with employers to understand current and future needs, we aim to:

  • empower the workforce
  • develop face-to-face and online learning opportunities
  • create a sustainable pool of skilled professionals
  • encourage new talent via an outreach programme

We hope to show that Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is a great place to train, work and do business for anyone with an interest in the tech sphere.

We believe digital technologies can help us to:

  • tackle inequalities
  • connect communities
  • offer solutions to global challenges such as climate change.

We aim to achieve this by delivering exciting training programmes and well-paid jobs locally.

Our vibrant, growing tech sector can raise aspirations and create opportunities.

We want to help people learn new skills, enhance knowledge, work flexibly, and earn a great wage, all without leaving our beautiful county.

We want to include everyone living here, but especially young people who so often feel they need to move away from Cornwall to pursue a career.
