The digital skills demand
Did you know that we have the fastest growing tech sector in the south-west?
This means there is increasing demand for digital skills.
A report from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Digital Skills Partnership in 2022 showed:
- There is ‘a shortage of software engineers, developers, and programmers’
- and that ‘the gap is widening’
Digital Futures is part-funded by the UK Government. This is through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
It brings together 11 partners led by Truro and Penwith College. The aim is to convert the fund into economic opportunity for the region.
Digital Futures aims to support this growth by creating a pipeline of talent.
