Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Review


The law says you must tell us if there is any change to the information we used to decide if you get Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Support. It is important that we are using the correct details for you and your household, so you receive the level of benefit you are entitled to.

If you have received a letter from us to say we need to review your circumstances, you can access the online review form near the bottom of this page.

The form will show you details of your income, household members and rent liability for you to confirm. Please check these details carefully. If you notice something has changed, you need to let us know.

If there are changes, you will be asked to confirm what has changed and in most circumstances upload documents to confirm the changes. Therefore, it would be useful to have your income and capital details close by, when you start completing the form.

You have one calendar month from the date shown on the letter to complete your review form, but please do not delay in telling us of any changes. Any unnecessary delay could mean you miss out on benefit you are entitled to.

If you do not complete the review within one calendar month your claims will be suspended, and no further benefit will be paid. We will then make further enquiries.
