Collections for flats and HMOs
If you live in a flat or share bins with your neighbours, your containers may be slightly different from those used by individual houses.

Green Infrastructure for Growth
Making space for nature
Communities in seven Cornish towns have better green spaces because of this project. Cornwall Council has transformed 40 hectares of urban open space. Making space for nature from unexciting grassy spaces and turning them into beautiful sanctuaries for people and wildlife.

Pick up a free tree to plant for National Tree Week
Thousands of free tree saplings are being given away starting from this month as residents are encouraged to plant trees, increase nature in their communities and contribute to a carbon neutral Cornwall.

Apply for an extra rubbish bin or sack
Limit on rubbish we collect from households
In Cornwall, we collect rubbish from households fortnightly. We will only collect rubbish that fits inside the property’s wheelie bin or protective sack with the lid closed. This is to encourage all of us to waste less, recycle more and help create a clean green Cornwall.
We don’t collect:
Rubbish bags put out next to or on top of a wheelie bin or protective sack.

Apply for funding
Neighbourhood planning funding
The Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government has confirmed that following the spending review it is unable to commission new neighbourhood planning support services for 2025 onwards. This means that no new grant funding or technical support will be available to neighbourhood plan groups.
