We want Cornwall to be a brilliant place to be a child and grow up in. However, some children and young people need a little extra help or support to do this. Our SEND Local Offer is the place to find this support. You will find information, advice and guidance on a range of services.
What is the SEND Local Offer?
Every local authority must publish a SEND Local Offer. It must be clear, comprehensive and accessible for everyone to use.
The SEND Local Offer should include information on:
- education
- alternative provision, or education other than at school
- preparing for adulthood and independent living
- health provision
- social care provision
- special educational needs and / or disabilities (SEND) services
- leisure
- travel
- support and guidance
Our SEND Local Offer is developed in partnership with those who use the different services, including:
- children young people
- parents and carers, and
- other stakeholders
This collaborative approach will continue and develop. We have ambitious aspirations for our SEND Local Offer. We want it to be easy to use. We also want the information to be easy to find.
