Wrapping paper

Can I recycle it?

Simple wrapping paper can be recycled but foil or glitter-decorated paper cannot and should be disposed in your rubbish bin.

You can tell whether your paper is recyclable by doing the “scrunch test”. If you scrunch paper into a ball and it stays scrunched (does not spring back), you can recycle it.

Appropriate wrapping paper can be recycled as part of your recycling collection.

Which container?

Simple wrapping paper goes in your orange cardboard sack. Foil or glitter paper goes in your rubbish bin.
