Jewellery

Can I recycle it?

Jewellery is not collected as part of your recycling collection. However, there are specialist services, charities and other organisations that will take or buy your unwanted jewellery.

Donate or sell

You can try selling your jewellery at Jewellers’ or shops such as Cash Converters – especially if it’s made from gold or silver. Jewellery and watches are accepted by many charities.

They can be recycled or re-sold to raise valuable funds. Always check the list of accepted items shown on the charity bag first as they do vary.

Alternatively, there are online organisations such as ‘Recycling for good causes’ that accept jewellery and watches (regardless of condition) via the post, for resale/recycling to raise funds for national charities and local groups such as Scouts and Brownies.
