Helium bottle

Can I recycle it?

Helium bottles are not collected as part of your recycling collection.

Helium bottles can be refilled for further use. You should consider hiring helium bottles, as they can then be returned to their supplier. You can take helium gas bottles to any Household Waste Recycling Centre except the site at Dudnance Lane, Pool.

Please seek advice from a site operative. Do not place gas cylinders in containers as they may explode if they are crushed.

For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres.

We now take commercial waste at our St Erth and Launceston HWRCs. You’ll need to book a slot in advance using our online booking system. To find out more, visit: Commercial Waste at HWRCs.

We only take waste from households at our other sites.
