Can I recycle it?
Glass bottles and jars are collected as part of your recycling collection. This includes non-food bottles like perfume, aftershave and face creams.
This does not include:
- glass cookware (Pyrex)
- drinking glasses
- ceramics
- vases
- nail varnish bottles
- mirrors
- light bulbs/tubes

Useful information
If your bottles and jars are still usable, you could consider re-using them (for example, to pickle eggs or onions). If you cannot find a use for them, you could also try posting your glass jars and bottles on a local selling platform for free. Such as Facebook’s Marketplace.

For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres.

We only take waste from households at our other sites.
