Can I recycle it?
Garden furniture is not collected as part of your recycling collection.
If you are not able to donate or sell them, metal and wood garden furniture can be recycled at one of our Household Waste and Recycling Centres. Plastic/mixed material garden furniture can be recycled at some of our HWRCs.
Recycling centres with recycling banks for bulky plastics are:

Donate or sell
Before you throw something away or recycle it, could it be reused instead?
You could:
- donate to a charity shop
- donate to a Kernow Reuse Shop (at our HWRCs)
- visit a repair cafe for help fixing or mending items
- give it away on sites like Freecycle, Freegle or Facebook Marketplace
- donate to local community projects like:
- RE:SOURCE (Bodmin)
- Heartlands Furniture (Pool)
- GOFA (Penzance)
- Cornwall and Plymouth Furniture Reuse Project
- Sell items at car boot sales, online (eBay) or through a local auction room
Bulky waste collection
You can use our household bulky waste collection service for items that are too big for normal collections.
There is a charge for this service.
