Can I recycle it?
- We collect most empty deodorant containers as part of your recycling collection service.
- Empty deodorant aerosol cans are collected as part of your recycling collection.
- However if they are not empty they pose a significant fire risk and must be taken to your local HWRC (except Dudnance Lane, Redruth) where the staff will direct you to the secure chemicals waste skip.
- Empty plastic bottle deodorants can be placed into your kerbside recycling. Black plastic deodorants and lids are not accepted and should be disposed of in your general rubbish.
- Empty glass roll on deodorants can't be collected unless you're able to remove the roller ball. If you're able to remove the ball, you can place the glass bottle into your glass recycling box.
- If you're not able to remove the ball the whole bottle must be put in your general rubbish.
Which container?
Household plastic and metal packaging bag, which for most people is the red bag. Or Household glass and textile box (black box).
