Deodorant containers (cans & roll on)

Can I recycle it?

Empty aerosol deodorants as well as empty plastic bottle deodorants (excluding black plastic) are collected as part of your recycling collection.

If you are able to safely remove the roller ball from glass roll on deodorants, these can be collected as part of your recycling collection. If you are unable to remove the ball, please place the whole item in your rubbish bin.

If it is not possible to empty the aerosols, please do not place them in your recycling bag or rubbish bin as they are flammable and need to be disposed of safely. Instead, please deposit them at a chemical storage container at one of our Household Waste and Recycling Centres (except Dudnance Lane, Pool).

Which container?

Empty aerosol and empty plastic bottle deodorants go in your red recycling bag for plastic and metal packaging.

Empty glass deodorant bottles, with the roller ball removed, go in your black recycling box for glass and textiles.
