Car batteries

Can I recyle it?

Car batteries are not collected as part of your kerbside recycling collection.

Car batteries can be recycled at all Household Waste Recycling Centres*. By law, they must not be disposed of with household waste. They are often collected at garages and scrap metal facilities. Generally, the specialist who replaces your car battery will be able to dispose of the old one safely for you.
