Can I recycle it?
Gas canisters, including butane canisters, are not collected as part of your recycling collection.
Please do not put these in your rubbish or recycling as they may explode when crushed in the collection vehicle or at our recycling facilities.
Butane canisters, often used for camping stoves, can be taken to one of our Household Waste and Recycling Centres except the site at Dudnance Lane, Pool. Please ask a member of staff on site where to dispose of them so it can be done safely.
Some manufactures and shops will take back used gas canisters.
