Can I recycle?
Unbroken glass bottles and jars are collected as part of your kerbside recycling collection. This includes non-food bottles like perfume, aftershave and face creams.
This does not include:
- glass cookware (Pyrex)
- drinking glasses
- ceramics
- vases
- nail varnish bottles
- mirrors
- light bulbs/tubes
Which container?
Household glass and textiles box (black box). Remove any lids, tops and caps and place these separately in your red recycling bag.
When is my collection day?
Useful information
Reuse or resell
If your bottles and jars are still usable, you could consider re-using them (for example, to pickle eggs or onions).
If you cannot find a use for them, you could also try posting your glass jars and bottles on a local selling platform for free.
