Can I recycle it?

Books are collected in your orange bag for cardboard as part of your recycling collection. Please remove any plastic sleeve around the book before putting it into your recycling.

Useful information

Engaging with your local library is a good way of reducing your environmental impact by sharing one collection with many people.

An alternative to printed books are e-books and audiobooks which are available to download to your phone, tablet or computer.

Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRC)

Suez is running a trial at our sites where they collect books to measure their weight before placing them in the cardboard recycling.

For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres.

We now take commercial waste at our St Erth and Launceston HWRCs. You’ll need to book a slot in advance using our online booking system. To find out more, visit: Commercial Waste at HWRCs.

We only take waste from households at our other sites.
