What do I do with it?

Take to a recycling centre.

  • the metal part of bikes can be recycled at one of our Household Waste and Recycling Centres

Cornwall Life Recycle

  • accepts donated bicycles in reasonable condition
  • bikes are repaired by disadvantaged adults and young people
  • refurbished bikes are then given a new home
  • based in Camborne, find out more on the Life Recycle website

Bikes to Africa (via Halfords) 

  • donate unwanted bicycles in reasonable condition (no more than 25% rust)
  • drop-off available at participating Halfords stores
  • Cornwall location: Halfords, Unit 2a Pentewan Road, St Austell, PL25 5BU
