Please don't put batteries in your rubbish or recycling. They can explode and cause a fire when crushed in the collection vehicle or at a recycling facility
What do I do with it?
Take them to a recycling centre or local recycling point.
- store batteries in a box at home
- recycle them at a local recycling point, like in a supermarket, or
- a Household Waste and Recycling Centre
You can recycle most batteries at recycling centres, including button batteries and batteries from laptops, phones and power tools.
