Batteries

Can I recycle it?

We don't currently collect batteries as part of your household recycling collection service.

You can recycle most of them at any of our Household Waste and Recycling Centres (HWRC). Including button batteries and battery packs from laptops, phones, power tools and remote controls. You can also recycle some batteries at supermarkets, DIY stores and some local shops and libraries.

Useful Information

Battery Boxes: Why not find an old box and fill it up with 'dead' batteries. Once it's full, just take it to your HWRC or battery recycling point. You could even store your batteries in your reusable shopping bags for next time you go to the supermarket.

Locate your nearest battery recycling point with this handy battery bank recycling point finder.
