Can I recycle it?
We cannot take asbestos as part of your household recycling collection service.
Asbestos cannot be re-used or recycled under any circumstances. Asbestos is a hazardous material that can damage people's health if not handled correctly.
You can dispose of asbestos at the following Household Waste and Recycling Centres only: Bude, Falmouth and Penryn, Newquay, Saltash, St Austell, St Erth (Hayle) and Truro. A free allowance limit is in place for this waste stream and a charge may apply.
Please do not break or cut the asbestos, but do keep it wet to minimise dust. Securely double wrap/bag the asbestos in strong plastic to transport it.
Please contact the Suez helpdesk ahead of time on 01726 828230 to forewarn them that you are bringing asbestos on site.
