Animal bedding and waste

Can I recycle it?

We take clean, dry pet blankets as part of your household recycling collection service, no matter how old or worn. Please put unwanted pet bedding in a tied carrier bag and leave out on top of your glass box.

You can compost pet bedding such as hay, straw and sawdust from ‘vegetarian’ animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) using home compost systems.

Cat litter or dog poo should be bagged and put in your rubbish bin.

Which container?

Household glass & textiles box, which for most people is the black box.

When is my collection day?
