Recycle more from home


You can now recycle more from home!

We want to make it easier for everyone in Cornwall to recycling more and reduce waste. You can now recycle more things from home. This includes cartons, plastic bags and wrapping.

How to recycle them 

Cartons

Please rinse and squash your cartons and pop them in your red recycling bag for collection. 

Plastic bags and wrapping

Put your plastic bags and wrapping out for collection in a carrier or bread bag tied at the top.

  • If you have space, pop it into your red recycling bag
  • No space left? Place the tied bag on top of your black box or tuck it in alongside your other recycling bags to stop it blowing away

What can be recycled?

We now collect plastic films and wrapping like:

  • plastic bags such as bread bags and frozen vegetable bags 
  • plastic carrier bags
  • sweet and chocolate wrappers, including ice cream and biscuit wrappers
  • crisp packets and other foil lined packaging like coffee bags
  • cheese, fish and meat wrappings
  • plastic film lids and sleeves 
  • outer layer bags and wrappings like toilet roll and magazine wrappings 
  • cling film
  • bubble wrap
  • fruit and vegetable net bags 

We also collect cartons/ Tetra Paks like :

  • juice cartons
  • milk cartons
  • soup or sauce cartons
  • plant based milk cartons like oat, almond and soya milks
