Local Development Scheme
Local authorities publish a Local Development Scheme (LDS). The LDS sets a timetable for the Local Development Documents that will be produced as part of the Cornwall Local Plan.
Current Position
Statement of Community Involvement
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires us to prepare a 'Statement of Community Involvement' (SCI).
Planning affects everyone in our community. However, most people only get involved in planning when it directly affects them. The SCI explains how we will involve:
- local communities
- businesses
- other interested parties
when we prepare our planning policies and determine planning applications. The current SCI was adopted in July 2018.
You can download the Adopted SCI.
The adoption statement sets out when the SCI was adopted and where it can be viewed.
The adoption of the SCI follows consultation on a draft undertaken in 2017/18. The consultation statement sets out the representations received and the amendments to the SCI.
